BGaming will bring back its Charity Gala on 29 May 2026, with the second edition set for The Phoenicia Hotel in Malta as the company again puts DAR Bjorn at the center of the event.

The fundraiser follows last year’s Gala, which brought in €200,000 and helped finance the new Respite Centre of DAR Bjorn. For the 2026 event, BGaming is shifting the focus from construction support to practical care needs inside that facility. Money raised will go toward equipment such as ventilators, motorized beds, air mattresses, hoist lifters, and oxygen concentrators. It will also fund four resident rooms for new admissions. BGaming said every euro raised will go straight to DAR Bjorn, while the company will cover production costs separately.

A Second Gala With a Clearer Target

DAR Bjorn was founded by Bjorn Formosa, who worked in iGaming before an ALS diagnosis at age 28. The organisation now cares for about 60 residents across two centres and also supports nearly 800 people in the community. With demand still rising, the new Respite Centre is expected to add badly needed capacity for people living with ALS, MS, and other serious neurological conditions.

The event will take place in the Bastion Pool area of The Phoenicia Hotel and will run as an invitation-only evening for iGaming executives, Maltese business figures, and philanthropists. Next.io will serve as official media partner, while Joseph Chetcuti will host. The programme includes live music from Versatile, an art performance and auction from L7Matrix and Gonçalo MAR, plus a charity raffle.

BGaming also named several companies already backing the 2026 edition. Flutter, Alea, and SiGMA are supporting partners. MyAffiliates joined as a Silver Partner, while Amusnet Gaming, 1spin4win, and Finteq Hub signed on as Bronze Partners.

Marina Ostrovtsova, Chief Executive Officer at BGaming, said:

“Last year’s Gala showed us what is possible when our industry comes together around a shared purpose. Raising €200,000 in a single evening was a remarkable achievement and provided real, tangible support to the people at DAR Bjorn who need it most.

“Returning for a second year with an even greater ambition is something we are incredibly proud of. The funds we raise this year will go toward equipment that directly improves residents’ quality of life. These donations are the difference between comfort and hardship for people living with serious neurological conditions, and we hope both the iGaming community and the wider Maltese community will once again stand with us.”
